Now If They Made a Zucchini Martini. . .

I'd suffer through it.

But, in the mean time, let me just state something for the record:   I'm not a fan of vegetables.

Tonight - at the suggestion of vegetarian Ponzi - I made grilled vegetable paninis for dinner, and then - one by one - proceeded to rid mine of peppers, onions, squash, and eggplant . . . until I was left with a fancy grilled cheese on whole wheat.

But I do like green tea ice cream.

And spinach ravioli.

And pomegranate martinis.

Shouldn't that count for something?

Yes! I'm a big believer in drinking your vegetables during happy hour.

I'm with you on the sandwich, though I would have kept the onions and maybe added asparagus. Yum.

The martinis are a definite yes!

LOL! Sounds like something one of my daughter would do!

You know, I'll bet with the right "mixers," that ANY self-respecting vegetable can make a great martini!
Say, that sounds like a wonderful idea for a project for the HS Science Fair for my daughter! Think she'll get to the state or national level on that one??
Maybe if the judges are moms????

You're a gal after my own heart. I love Pomegranate Martinis. Green Tea ice cream...hmmmm. But I do love Green Tea Iced Tea and Hot Tea.

I love sauted sliced mushrooms in butter with fresh alfalfa sprouts and munster cheese melted over them on 14 grain bread, it is a wonderful veggie sandwich and grilled cheese combined. Had it in a place in Calif. one time (they called it a Back Porch Sandwich)and it became a favorite from then on. Check out my post today, when you have time, I finally got the give away on there and I think you might like it. Jeanne

Ha! Does anyone else see the irony of the child telling the mother to eat her veggies, and the mother ending up with a grilled cheese?

Could you have ever seen this coming ten or twelve years ago?

Pomegranate martinis works for me!

OK, you won't eat squash but you'll eat Green Tea ice cream? Ick. Plus, I'm pretty sure green tea isn't a vegetable ;) Spinach ravioli, though.. Yum. And I've never tried a pomegranate martini, but I'd definitely be willing to give it a go!

NOW LOOK LIZ-should you make veg paninis, eggplant martinis or so much as squash muffins, and you don't call or drop some by my house I will forever take it personally. Veggies have been my favorite food forever.
